More Details: CharacterLink allows you to FTP, upload, and create
websites - so no problems there. But it does have a few downsides that
should be mentioned... When you visit certain websites, you will see
"missing images" because those images happen to be "hosted" on an
unapproved site. Also, there is difficulty watching some online videos,
including the ones we feature on MyFaith.com. (It's start-stop-start-stop
with many of them, or they don't play at all.) But the majority of online
audios work fine.

The most inconvenient aspect of CharacterLink is that if you are doing
intense web searching on any given topic, and you are visiting more
obscure sites, you may find many of them inaccessible, and will have to
submit them one by one to CharacterLink for approval. They approve most
sites in less than 24 hours. BUT there is another problem. They say they
only allow 15 sites to be submitted per day, and only 50 per month, which
some people may exhaust in a day or a week. So after reaching that limit,
I've been sending each "site submission" directly by e-mail. Since, after
reaching the limit, you are prevented from using the semi-automated method
of submitting sites. This effectively removes the limitation ('cause
they keep approving them, even though I'm way over the limit). But it
would be easier if they'd just remove the site submission limit, which can
be a major obstacle in regular Internet usage.

No matter what, NOTHING compares to the protection you will feel with
CharacterLink.
